The population was 152,486 at the 2020 census. The county seat is Hanford, which is also the largest city in the county. Kings County is located in the southern part of California’s Central Valley, bordered by Fresno, Tulare, and Kern counties. It is part of the Hanford–Corcoran Metropolitan Statistical Area and is known for its strong agricultural economy.
